About Us.

Jeff and Jana have owned, shown, bred and loved purebred dogs in Tropical Far North Queensland for nearly 20 years.

Jana has owned Salukis off and on since 1985, showing a number of them to their Australian Championship before breeding her first and only litter under the Yabokeni prefix, one of these pups (the only one shown) attained her Australian Championship.

Jeffrey has owned Bullmastiffs since 1991, when he bought his first, A Beautiful Big Red boy by Ch. Bullpower Jaguar. He was Australian Champion Kenston Fireball(Prince). He still features in the pedigrees of our stock today.

Jeff and Jana joined forces in 1999 and it was a case of "Love me, Love my dog". Jana has learned to love the slobber chops and Jeff has stopped trying to feed up and fatten the skinny dogs. All our dogs are loved family members and share our home. We often find it hard to get a seat to watch TV with this and that dog drapped over the lounge chairs. Afterall, dog shows are only on some weekends during the year, the rest of the time they are our companions.

Our aim is to breed sound quality dogs, not quantity. We have enjoyed showing a number of both Bullmastiffs and Salukis to their Australian Championship and have even bred a few Champions in the short time we've been together.

Due to Jana's bad knees, we have recently added French Bulldogs to our lives. Now Jana can handle a breed in the show ring as well instead of Jeffrey having all the fun. What a year we had in 2006, Check out our French Connection page.

Aust. Ch. Kenston Fireball

'Prince' was Jeffrey's first Bullmastiff. As a show dog he was exceptional. His first year he won North Queensland Bullmastiff Puppy of the Year. His next year he won NQ Runner up Bullmastiff of the Year, and the next he Won NQ Bullmastiff of the Year in 1994.

There was no better companion dog. He had excellent Bullmastiff temperament and loved people, especially children. He was loyal and obedient.

As a sire, unfortuneatly he only sired 2 litters. Jeffrey aquired a daughter Ch. Strashoundog Scanner (Missy) who he showed to her title. Prince lives on in all our Bullmastiffs thru her.

Aust. Ch. Ybara Kenaz

'Kenny' was Jana's first saluki, way back in 1985. He was a silver grizzle boy with a cheeky temperament. He had a great show career. Won a number of Best in Groups and Class in Show. Together, Jana and Kenny tried their hand at Obedience. The audience at club obedience demos were in fits of laughter as Kenny did all commands perfectly, only 10 feet behind Jana!! He is sadly missed.
